90-Minute 1:1 InquiryYou Write the BriefI Return It Annotated
Branding can sharpen expression. It cannot decide what the work is. In the session, we uncover what makes your work unmistakably yours and give that distinction language another professional can understand and build from. You leave with a Before-Branding Brief in your own words, returned with precise annotations on what already holds and what still needs definition.

As a learning designer, coach, and educator with a background in fine arts, I have spent the past decade designing learning experiences in which structure and human experience support one another. I pay close attention to the psychological, cognitive, and systemic conditions that are often left out of the design, because when they are ignored, they can distort judgment, weaken participation, and undermine the learning outcomes the system is meant to produce. My work is to give those conditions the right place in the design, so the learning experience remains both rigorous and responsive.
I hold two master’s degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, in developmental psychology and the design of learning technologies, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts. At New York University Shanghai, I taught experience design and creative learning design. Across the past decade, I have designed learning experiences, facilitated reflection, and built tools that strengthen critical thinking, judgment, agency, and creative thought.
My work is shaped by moving between cultures, disciplines, and ways of knowing. I am often drawn to what does not translate cleanly between them, and to the work of finding a form that can hold what each one sees.
Across my work, I return to one question: how to design an outer learning structure to hold the complexity of an inner life without reducing it?
In the classroom, that meant designing courses in experience design and creative learning in which critical reflection was not an add-on. Students considered feeling and thought as part of the design process and learned how both could help them navigate the design choices they made.
In training systems, it means refusing to separate procedure from psychology. A checklist may tell someone what to do, but under pressure the structure also has to support attention, judgment, and trust. I design those conditions into the system itself.
In r., the AI reading partner I built, the same principle appears as restraint. It asks precise questions at the right pace so the reader can keep their own thinking.
In my writing, I work from lived experience. Scene and metaphor help me make what is difficult to name precise enough to feel and spacious enough for the reader to arrive in their own way.
Across every form, I do the same work: I make inner complexity precise enough to shape real decisions, systems, and experiences.
